In 2020, the City of Belpre, Ohio completed an Economic Development Plan. Zoning was listed as one of the several important tasks identified as a high priority. With few updates or revisions since 1973, citizens and stakeholders of the City of Belpre continue to list zoning as a problem area for growth within the City.

The City of Belpre is partnering with Sixmo City Services to conduct a review of their existing zoning code and provide recommendations needed to bring their zoning code up to date.

Although Sixmo City Services staff is currently working with the City of Belpre, upcoming changes will likely include procedural changes, text amendments, and identifying potential new in-fill development areas.
