Structural Engineer

Cleveland, Marietta, or Zanesville, Ohio

Description
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to work on a variety of commercial, retail, multi-family residential, and light industrial projects throughout the Midwest. The right candidate could work at any Sixmo office, including Cleveland, Zanesville, and Marietta. Relocation assistance is available as necessary.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Structural Engineering required
  • Active licensure in or reciprocal to Ohio strongly preferred
  • Active SE license or established career goal to become an SE licensed engineer within the next 4 years
  • 5+ years of experience with building design and analysis of structural elements from roof down to foundations
  • Drive to learn on the job and become proficient in the design of structural steel, concrete structures such as tilt wall and post-tensioning, masonry, light-gauge, and timber
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, skilled in Revit and familiar with Bentley Structural Software or similar structural engineering software.
  • Highly organized, great attention to details, and sense of urgency in completing deliverables within defined timelines
  • Team-oriented attitude that fosters collaboration and shared success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

We are seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to join our team in Zanesville. The right candidate will work on a variety of projects utilizing a collaborative team environment and a variety of field and office tools.  

Requirements

  • Active licensure in Ohio 
  • 5 Years of experience preforming: 
    • Boundary surveys 
    • Subdivision plats 
    • Dedications and vacations of streets, alleys and lots 
    • Topographic and hydrographic mapping 
    • ALTA surveys 
    • Construction layout staking

    • Document research
  • Proven Project Management Skills

BIM Engineering Manager

Cleveland, Ohio

Description
We are seeking a BIM Engineering Manager to join our team in Cleveland. The right candidate will primarily manage and coordinate the development, implementation, and enforcement of all BIM standards for all related projects, files, and models across all engineering disciplines.  

Requirements

  • Oversee/coordinate the use of BIM/Revit software for all engineering disciplines, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all BIM installations as well as analyzing and solving BIM user issues.
  • Provide end-user training, support and leadership to staff as needed 
  • Perform modeling for all engineering disciplines as needed to ensure project schedules for all disciplines are met 
  • Manage all BIM sub-consultants for all engineering disciplines 
  • Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM software 
  • Stay informed on other BIM related software products and their interaction with Revit (i.e. RAM structural systems, Energy Compliance, etc.) 
  • Creation and maintenance of template files to assure standards 
  • Support the BIM technology needs of a multi-office firm and troubleshoot problems related to BIM 
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops for BIM, bringing back best practices and disseminating the information to appropriate teams 
  • Conduct continuing education on BIM processes and its new technologies 
  • Provide technical orientation/onboarding to new hires regarding BIM tools 
  • Assist/create Revit families in response to project need
