Sixmo, by definition, is a piece of paper folded, cut, or otherwise divided into six equal sections. During the development and planning stages for our architecture and structural engineering firm, we established a set of criteria designed to make our firm stand out from the crowd. Certainly the name alone helps, but it is not after all, a name that defines a company. The way our company defines our name, however is a story all its own.
So, how did we come to be known as “a piece of paper folded into six equal sections?”
Reviewing our mission statement, you might recognize that the message really boils down to three primary components: Great work for great clients by great people. These components were carefully selected to promote our Vision, which coincidentally contains three related primary components: Growth, Quality, and Uniqueness. All six components making up the framework of our business plan intertwine to build and strengthen our core values.
The term “Sixmo” was selected after careful deliberation. A concept that can be graphically demonstrated allows us to portray our mission and vision to fellow professionals and our clients in a unique fashion. Even our deliverable documents subtly reflect the concept, through register marks at third points on the sheets, allowing our clients to “sixmo” their own documents.
